ER
Ohlen obtained a rite of passage over this past weekend. He went to the ER for the first time.
We were camping. He went to play with some little boys from a neighboring camp site. They were playing with a plastic ball, bat, and tee. Somehow the one little boy whacked Ohlen in the mouth. He was bleeding pretty bad and it looked to me like his tooth might have gone through the skin right above his lip. We jumped in the car and heading to the hospital.
Luckily we didn't have a long wait. The Dr. determined that it wasn't a hole - just broken skin on the outside and inside - and he needed one stitch on each location.
Ohlen was a trooper. He barely cried, and was most upset by the fact that I had to hold a cotton ball of numbing agent on his face for about 25 minutes. And it didn't hurt, he just didn't want to sit so still for so long. Every one was super nice and were wonderful with Ohlen. We were in and out in about an hour. Such a huge blessing. I was prepared for several hours.
While the Dr. was working on him he asked if Ohlen was going to go back camping. His response: Oh Yeah!
